Rocket artillery and unmanned aircraft exercises have begun in the Chelyabinsk region

Ekaterinburg, February 14. /So24/. Complex exercises of calculations of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) “Hurricane” and unmanned aircraft have begun at the training ground of the Central Military District (TsVO) in the Chelyabinsk region. This is according to a message published Monday by the press service of the district.

“According to the plan of practical actions, taking place according to a single plan in a single tactical situation, reconnaissance units using Orlan unmanned aerial vehicles revealed areas of accumulation of manpower and equipment of a false enemy. Then the calculations of the KRUS complexes [комплекс разведки, управления и связи] “Sagittarius” aimed several “Hurricane” rocket launcher systems at the identified positions, the message said.

It is specified that the gunners inflicted damage on “enemy” targets, including carrying out the transfer of fire and leaving firing positions with actions in the reloading area.

The press service added that modern modifications of BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicles and equipment of special branches of the armed forces are also involved in the exercises – in total more than 150 pieces of equipment and more than 500 military.

The exercises will continue until the end of the week.
