Ukrainian missile and artillery forces hit nine enemy command posts

Missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit nine enemy command posts at brigade and battalion level, as well as three groups of enemy personnel and military equipment.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, reports a correspondent of Ukrinform.

“The enemy continues to concentrate its efforts on attempts to fully occupy the Donetsk region, hold captured territories and disrupt the active actions of Ukrainian forces in certain directions. The enemy continues to shell Ukrainian positions along of the line of contact and tries to take measures to regroup its troops in certain directions; carries out aerial reconnaissance. The threat of airstrikes and missiles persists throughout Ukraine,” the report said.

According to the General Staff, Russian troops daily suffer significant losses in terms of personnel and try to compensate for them in various ways. The military command continues to search for people ready to fight among the prisoners, especially in the penitentiary establishments of the Tula region. Recruiters promise convicts to have their criminal records expunged in exchange for a three-month period of service. For repeat offenders or those convicted of particularly serious offences, the period of service will be six months. However, no contract is signed with those who show interest.

In addition, the so-called “reservists” are recruited from the 3rd Army Corps. Among those already recruited are many drug addicts and alcoholics. Moreover, the forced mobilization in the town of Horlivka shows that there are problems with the numbers of units: the local so-called “military commissars” have been instructed to recruit 6,000 people. Men are wanted and detained in the city, causing massive discontent among local residents.
